The Basics of Rodeo Talk

Added Money/Added:

  • Money contributed by local businesses to the prize pot. Ex: "What's the added?

Average:

  • The combined score for multiple rounds. Ex: "He placed third in the average with 19.1 seconds on two head."

Barrel Man:

  • An entertainer using a barrel to distract bulls and protect riders.
