The Bitterroot Valley has turned out many successful rodeo athletes. Here we provide information about the different opportunities for young rodeo athletes to find their footing and build a great foundation for their future in the sport of RODEO.

Bitterroot Gymkhana Club (BRGC) is a parent-led organization that provides opportunity to participate in mounted western games.
Events include pole bending, barre racing, keyhole, figure 8, speed barrels and more. BRGC can be a helpful starting point into the sport of rodeo.

RCJR is a parent-led youth rodeo club. RCJR's goal is to prepare young athletes and their families for their future in the sport of rodeo. Includes all traditional rodeo events as well as preparatory events like dummy roping, chute dogging and steer riding that are designed to build skills and prepare youngsters for the rigors of the adult version of events. Membership is required to participate as a contestant in the events. RCJR Rodeo Dates: June 12,19,26
July 17,24,31, if needed for a make up rodeo August 7th.

There is a natural progression from Ravalli County Jr Rodeo to Montana High School Rodeo Association (MHSRA) (also, part of National High School Rodeo (NHSRA). MHSRA has a Jr High Division open to athletes 6th - 8th grade. MHSRA is open to home school students. MHSRA members have many opportunities to earn awards and scholarships. MHSRA and NHSRA are independent organizations funded by memberships and sponsorships.

Northern Rodeo Association is one of the largest professional-amateur regional rodeo associations in the country. This organization covers the entire state of Montana with over 25 regional rodeos and the NRA Finals at the end of the season.
